United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO, works to create conditions for dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples based on mutual respect and respect for common values. Through this dialogue the international community can reach a global understanding of sustainable development, including respect for human rights, mutual respect and reduction of poverty and misery - these basic tasks are the focus of UNESCO and its activities now.
The basis of all strategies and initiatives of UNESCO enshrined comprehensive goals and specific tasks of the international community agreed at international level and in particular the Millennium Development. The possibility of achieving these objectives is determined by the unique sphere of competence of UNESCO, including education, natural and social sciences, culture, communication and information.
